A Mile in Stilettos: MBFW New York AW ’13/14 Review

Tracy Reese

When the mercury has dropped, the stanchions have been placed at Lincoln Center and photographer are capturing your favourtite stylephile’s look of the day, it is safe to say that Mercedes Benz Fashion Week New York has begun.

The runways were dripping with luscious furs, juxtaposed patterns, elegant silks, saturated hues, demure hemlines, crowd stopping shoes, awe-inspiring accessories, comfortable knits and inspiring silhouettes. Designers such as Tracy Reese mixed beautiful prints, animal hides and even a leash trained kitten while the sisters of William Okpo presented their muses in carefully constructed wooden box frames with monochromatic knits, brushed pony wares and a playful sporty aesthetic.
